Manufactured February 1944-November 1944. The front site is milled, type two. Top of barrel is marked with the Winchester "W" and "P.W." for the inspector. Has the unmarked front barrel band. Has the adjustable rear site with Rock-ola milled site type B (post six million), E.W. stamped safety, bottom of trigger guard stamped Z, magazine catch stamped M, stock is stamped on right side W.R.A. G.H.D. and displays the ordinance wheel. This stock cartouche was used in 1943 and is not in a box, it is free standing. Hand guard is a type A bullnose used by W.R.A in 1942 and 1943. Has a strong rifled bore with some minor residue, all metal surfaces have approximately 95% original blue, comes with a vintage green canvas sling and is housed in a green canvas U.S. marked carry bag. Comes with one blued magazine. Overall a very fine and proper Winchester M1 WWII carbine.
