Standard issue, Pre Civil War Marshall pistol. With 8-1/2" barrel, .54 caliber percussion with swivel rod, with brass barrel band, straps, butt and trigger guard and iron mountings. Lock is stamped U.S. H. Aston with no address or date at rear of lock. Fine brass with some minor dents at butt, iron furniture is basically a dark mix of grey and dark brown patina with some corrosion near nipple and barrel breech, fine bore and action. Fine all original U.S. Pre-Civil War pistol.
