In 1980 Colt reintroduced a special edition of the famous Walker Dragoon in which 1,000 were manufactured. They were specially engraved and inlaid on the left side with "The Colt Heritage Commemorative". Left side of frame is stamped "C Company No. 1066". Right side of barrel has engraved and gold inlaid images of Samuel Walker and Samuel Colt and is stamped "U.S. 1847". Both sides of the grips bear the inspector cartouche. The bottom of the barrel lug, trigger guard, and backstrap are all stamped "C Company 1066". The cylinder features the roll engraving of the Texas Ranger battle scene. Standard features include a 9" barrel; single action; six shot; chambered for the .44 caliber percussion; with blued barrel, cylinder, and backstrap; case colored frame, hammer, and loading lever; with square back brass trigger guard. The gun is new, mint, unfired, with no drag line. It is housed in the beautiful Colt Heritage walnut display case with green velvet lining, French fitted, with walnut accessory box. Comes with a tray that holds the hard cover Colt Heritage book, signed by R.L. Wilson.
