Serial number is 25036, caliber is .35 Remington cartridge, barrel length is 22". The left side of barrel has the RX code which would stand for November and 1929, indicates when it was assembled. The sleeve has strong factory legends. This style of rifle was first offered in June of 1906. The caliber stamp can be found on the bolt, has a king rear and front sporting sights. Pictured on page 225 of the "Great Remington 8" book by John Henwood. The engraving appears to be that of the 8C or special grade. It has the JH&K stamps on the frame which are the assembler and fitters markings. Is it chambered for the .35 Remington cartridge. Standard features include a 22" barrel, blued finish, walnut stocks, and semi-automatic. It features nice simple scroll and panel engraving on frame only, beautiful deluxe checkered walnut stocks. It has the Remington Arms monogrammed logo buttplate. Gun is in exceptional condition. The wood is near mint with beautiful grain and fine checkering. The barrel sleeve retains 95% of the original blue finish with light muzzle wear and a few minor rubs and frame retains approximately 90% original blue finish starting to plum with high edge wear at magazine. Both side panels are engraved with antlered game. The deluxe walnut stocks exhibit highly grained oil finish with fine line checkering with pistol grip and the rakish pointed forward comb. Beautifully finished with literally no blems anywhere. There is a front sling swivel. Near mint bore and perfect action. An extremely lovely deluxe pre-war Remington.
