.30 WCF caliber with a 22" barrel. Manufactured 1895. Offered is an extremely scarce special order Winchester Model 1894 rifle that was manufactured in the second year of production (1895). Special features include a 22" barrel, 2/3 magazine and shotgun butt. This rifle sports a three-leaf express folding rear sight and a tang sight. This early model has the blued finish with the case colored hammer and lever, and walnut stocks. Barrel, tube and nose cap retains virtually all of their original blue finish. Frame retains approximately 30% original blue finish. Screws are perfect. Bolt retains approximately 95% blue. Strong case colors on lever and hammer. The extra finish wood is near mint, proud to metal, with no cracks or chips and features the Winchester logo hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Strong bore with light frosting. Perfect action. Factory research letter. It is extremely difficult to find a Model 1894 rifle with this much condition and special order features in the antique serial number range. This rifle is pictured on page 55 in "The 1894 Winchester" book.
