26" barrel in .38-55 WCF caliber. Manufactured 1896. Offered is an excellent example of an early third year production standard Model 1894 rifle in the largest caliber available in this model, the .38-55 WCF. Features include 26" full round barrel, full magazine, standard sporting sights, blued finish with walnut stocks and rifle buttplate. The barrel and tube retain approximately 90% of a pleasing blue-brown mix. Frame is a lovely patina with flashes of original finish. Original walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks or chips. Action is perfect. Strong bore with some minor frosting. A lovely antique Model 1894 rifle that has been well cared for. Factory letter states it was shipped on 9-3-1898.
