.45-60 WCF caliber with a 28" barrel. Manufactured 1883. This Winchester Model 1876 is standard in all respects and features a 28" full octagon barrel, full magazine, folding ladder rear sight, sporting front sight, walnut stocks, rifle butt, blued finish and is chambered for the .45-60 big bore cartridge. All metal surfaces are a dark brown patina. Walnut stocks are original, proud to metal, with no cracks but numerous abrasions. Bore is worn. Perfect action. Nice honest example of Winchester's first big bore lever action repeating rifle.
