4-1/2" barrel in 8mm caliber. This is a Type 14 large trigger guard example with standard blued finish and walnut grips. The grips on this example are the smooth non-grooved variety. A nearly identical example can be found on page 98 in the book entitled "Military Pistols of Japan" by Fred Honeycutt. The illustrated pistol is a Naval model and is within 2000 numbers of this gun. It is from the Nagoya Arsenal. The gun retains approximately 90% of the military applied factory blue finish. Grips are excellent. Fine bore and action.
