6" barrel in .36 caliber. These revolvers were manufactured 1864 to 1869. Standard features include octagon barrel, five shot, percussion, double action, blue barrel and cylinder, case colored hammer and frame, brass trigger guard and back strap, with varnished one-piece walnut grips. All metal surfaces on this revolver are a smooth grey-brown patina. Sharp barrel legends. 20% original varnish on grips. Brass never cleaned or polished. Has a small adjustable rear barrel sight and knife blade front. Early non-rebated cylinder. Indexes perfectly both single and double action. Fine original nipples. Strong clean bore. Nice clean early example. Matching serial number on cylinder, back strap, and trigger guard. Wedge not numbered. Matching number on barrel and loading lever.
