4" barrel in .38 Special caliber. Manufactured 1943. This is an unfired Colt World War II issue Commando six shot double action revolver with military matte finish and the brown plastic grips. Left side of frame has the Ordnance bomb and is stamped "G.H.D.". This revolver comes with a letter from the Alabama National Guard. This revolver was one of 140 ordered. It comes in its original numbered cardboard box. Although unfired, it does have a drag line, a few areas of high edge storage wear, and there is a 1/2" original factory finish blemish on left side above trigger. This gun has a consecutive serial number to the other Commando in this auction.
