Barrel length 24". Caliber .30-06. Offered is an all original Smith Corona U.S. Model 1903-A3. Barrel is stamped "S.C. 11 43" with bomb. Left side of stock has "F.J.A." cartouche (Frank J. Atwood 1941-1944) along with the Ordnance mark. Rifle is 100% all original as issued. Has a superb bore with an ME reading of zero. Metal retains approximately 95% or better of the dark military phosphate finish. Rifle has proper rear sight with the stamped parts and checkered buttplate. The only detractor on this rifle is a 3-1/2" age crack on the left side of the stock that could be easily repaired.
