Caliber is 9mm, barrel length is 2-5/8". This 1937 dated S/42 Luger has all matching numbers with exception to the barrel and grips, the originals of which are included in this lot. This Baby Luger was custom built by John V. Martz in Lincoln, California in 2002 at a cost of $2500, which did not include the original pistol. The workmanship is outstanding. This little pistol retains all of the reapplied finish from the time of conversion, which include small fire-blue parts and a beautiful pair of custom checkered walnut grips, the original magazine numbered to gun is included, as well as the custom Baby Luger magazine. Comes in a custom walnut and glass case with a German ribbon, Given the impossible task of finding an original Baby Luger, and the quality of work performed on this pistol, it is a masterpiece of the custom gun maker's art and would be a prize in any Luger collection.
