Barrel lengths 26". Caliber is 16 bore side by side over an 8x57 centerfire cartridge barrel. Top of barrel has full rib stamped BSW-Suhl with a folding leaf rear sight and blade front with mint bores. Both barrels are choked full and rifle barrel has clean, strong rifling. There is some light muzzle wear and some very minor age freckling but retains 95% original factory blue finish overall. Bottom of barrel is stamped Krupp Steel. Rifle caliber is stamped on underside lugs. The frame exhibits the typical Germanic hand-chiseled engraving with game scenes and foliage. Checkered walnut stocks are very good but the checkering is worn, but without cracks. Has a black composite buttplate and pistol grip, and a trap door buttplate for forged cartridges which is also engraved. Comes with European style sling swivels. Best quality prewar German drilling in beautiful all original condition.
