Barrel length 22", .30-40 Krag. Offered is an altered Model 1898 Krag rifle to carbine configuration. While this may have been done at the armory, it is not an original 1898 Krag carbine as it doesn not fall within the serial range, does not have proper saddle ring and bar, and it has a 1902 rear sight made for a rifle. All metal is a grey patina, stocks are excellent, cartouche on left side isn't readable, has proof "P" on wrist, has an ME reading of 2, rifling is quite pronounced, action is fine, sling is a Springfield 03 (not Krag).
