24" barrel in .38-40 caliber. Manufactured in 1901. Standard features on this fine rifle include a 24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, walnut stocks, rifle butt, blued finish with case colored hammer and lever. Has a standard Winchester sporting rear sight with a special order globe front sight and a Marbles tang rear sight. It has the extremely scarce special order close double set adjustable triggers. All metal surfaces retains approximately 80-85% of the original factory blue finish mixing with soft brown patina. Wood is excellent, proud to metal, with no cracks or chips, retaining most of its original high gloss finish. Excellent strong, clean bore. Perfect action. Nice evidence of case colors on hammer and lever. Very handsome and scarce big bore 1892 rifle.
