Barrel length 31", .32-40 caliber. Offered is an exquisite, custom, heavy barrel, built on the Marlin Ballard frame. The barrel is an extra heavy, 1-1/2 octagon to round. Retains 98% of the rust blue finish. Front and rear sight slots were utilized to mount the Malcolm style 34-1/2" tube scope. An additional scope block rests at edge of octagon flat. The frame has a scope block at the top flat, with the Marlin Ballard patent on left side. Frame retains 30-50% original case colors. Features double set triggers. The lever has a custom finger attachment, nickel plated. A period palm rest has been installed. There is a nickel plated Swiss butt plate. Stock is original Marlin style with fine checkering, beautiful grain and excellent condition, with raised comb. Fine bore. Perfect action. Extremely handsome, custom Ballard, single shot rifle.
