4-3/4" barrel in .44 Russian and Smith & Wesson Special. This fine Single Action Army revolver was manufactured by the United States Fire Arms Company in Hartford, Connecticut. It comes with a factory letter which verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, walnut grips, and that it features 'A+' coverage ornamental engraving. It further states that this gun has been featured on several pages of their catalogs since the first edition in 1996. This gun also served to illustrate, in detail, the 'A+' coverage engraving as pictured in the custom shop section of their catalog. The engraving was done by master engraver, Dennis Kies. The letter is signed by Douglas Donnelly (company president), and is dated September 15th, 1999. Gun was manufactured August 18th, 1995 and was shipped in a single gun shipment to Hoffman's Gun Center. Included with this gun is a copy of a company catalog that shows this revolver on page 34. The gun has never been fired and remains in new condition inside and out, and comes in the original box along with an extra engraved cylinder. This revolver is built on the old style black powder screw in frame with the donut head ejector, and is as fine a gun as ever left the Hartford factory.
