7-1/2" barrel in .44 percussion caliber. Manufactured 1865. 5,800 of these were manufactured, 5,000 of which were for the U.S. Military. This is a standard military example with all matching numbers. Stamped on top of frame "Rogers & Spencer Utica, NY". Walnut grips have repair on right panel. Left grip has faint but visible cartouche. Metal is basically a blue-grey patina. Muzzle is slightly rounded from holster. Has military proof marks. Indexes but slightly off time. Strong clean bore with very minor abrasions.
