7-1/2" barrel in .45 Long Colt caliber. Standard features include a 7-1/2" barrel, single action, six shot fluted cylinder, chambered for the .45 long Colt cartridge with case colored frame and hammer, balance high polish blue and one piece walnut grips. This was the first year of the new style ejector rod head. Features the black powder screw in frame. Gun retains 100% of the original style finish. Dave Lanara confirmed that this revolver was restored by him. The wood grips are solid one piece walnut from a beam on a building manufactured or built in 1872. This gun has been restored to its original factory new condition. All lines are sharp as new. Brilliant fire blue on trigger, screws and cylinder pin head. Beautiful high polish blue on barrel, cylinder, trigger guard and backstrap. All matching numbers including cylinder. Case colors on hammer and frame are brilliant and of the proper hue. Grips are mint. Mint bore. High front sight remains untouched. Perfect action. This fine early revolver appears just as it would at a local gun shop in 1881. It is unfired since restoration. If you desire to own a classic antique Colt single action but find the $40,000 to $60,000 price tag for a gun in all original condition out of your budget, this revolver should make even the most fastidious collector extremely happy. This work was performed by one of the most well-known skilled craftsman in America, and his expertise in restoring fine Colt Single Action Armies is unparalleled.
