Caliber is .38 Special, barrel length is 4-1/8". The Model 108 is marked "BPD 419 O.M" on back strap. It is a blued six shot double action revolver with case colored hammer and trigger with silver medallion checkered walnut grips. The right panel is numbered to gun. Aside from a light drag line the gun is as new in and out and comes in it's original Smith & Wesson box numbered to gun that has a star with Boston P.D. written on end. No paperwork. This revolver is referenced in the standard catalog of Smith & Wesson as a heavy barrel variation.
