3" barrel chambered .38 Special cartridge. Per Supica Smith & Wesson book, this is a special order double action Model 64 manufactured for the New York Police Department that features the matte finish with "NY-1" stamped in the yoke and a special bobbed hammer. The model is stamped simply "Mod. 64". It is a stainless steel double action with silver medallion checkered wood grips. This revolver is in as new condition in the original numbered box. Cylinder face shows no signs of burn, but there is a light drag line.
