Barrel length is 3-1/2", caliber is .357 magnum. Manufactured in 1952 to 1953. Fine early Pre-Model 27 as manufactured from 1952-1953. Features six shot, double action, blued finish with adjustable rear sight and cased colored hammer and trigger. Gun retains approximately 98% of the reapplied finish having been finally engraved on the barrel, cylinder and frame. In addition, it sports a pair of finely carved bone or ivory grips. Action is perfect with a strong clean bore. Someone has added some red paint to front sight that can be easily removed. Lovely custom, early short barrel Smith & Wesson.
