Barrel length is 4", caliber is .38 special. Manufactured in 1937. Basic standard pre-war Colt Official Police double action six shot revolver with blued finish. Left side of frame is engraved "Major John H. Irving." This revolver sports a fine pair of Colt silver medallion ivory grips. Gun retains approximately 80% of original factory blue that is thinning at muzzle, high wear at cylinder, and some light corrosion at top of back strap. Grip straps have silvered out and trigger guard is patina. Action is perfect. Strong clean bore.
