.22 Magnum caliber with an 8-3/8" barrel. Manufactured in 1960. The Model 48 is referred to as the "K-22 Masterpiece" magnum rimfire revolver. Production of this model began on May 21st, 1959, so this example dates to the second year of production. Features include blued finish, six shot, double action, with case colored hammer and trigger. This revolver retains approximately 95% original factory blue finish with light wear at muzzle, drag line, bottom of crane, and some minor high edge wear. Brilliant case colors on hammer and trigger. Has a partridge front sight with red paint added. Barrel and frame have been tapped for scope rail (currently mounted). Right grip panel is numbered to gun. Grips are diamond checkered walnut with silver medallion in excellent condition. The rear sight is included but removed. Fine bore and action.
