Barrel length is 3", caliber is .38 special. According to the standard catalog of the Smith & Wesson firearms, this revolver was manufactured for the Turkish Republic police that featured a 3" barrel, square butt, narrow white strip on front ramp sight, two small white dots on rear sight and stamped T.C. Polis on left side of frame BFR serial prefix with checkered walnut grips, blued finish, six shot, double action. 1,250 total manufactured. Gun remains in near new condition inside and out. Left side of barrel does have couple of age spots and a few minor storage dings. No visible cylinder burn, light drag line.
