Manufactured at Federal Laboratories in Pittsburgh. It is a tip-up, single shot, 1.5 bore tear gas riot gun with matte finish, checkered walnut pistol grip, walnut stock and red rubber recoil pad (added at a later date). Range and use instructions are taped on left side of stock. In the 1966 book, Tear Gas Munitions," by Thomas F. Swearengen, he states that the Fed Labs gun began production in the mid-1930's. This is the type of gun that was used to control riots in the 1930's and 40's, such as the infamous Alcatraz Riot of 1946. This is a very interesting and early weapon, rarely seen on the collector market.
