8" barrel in .44 percussion caliber. Manufactured 1863. Wedge is numbered '5453'. All other numbers are matching including cylinder. Features the six shot rebated cylinder with partially visible cylinder scene. Left walnut grip has a perfect cartouche while right grip is visible but faded. Fine barrel legend with New York address. Backstrap has the "D" inspector mark. Cut for shoulder stock. "D" inspector mark on trigger guard. "B" inspector mark on barrel. Gun is basically a brown-grey patina. No plating on brass. Excellent original grips. Perfect timing. Original nipples. Strong rifled bore with some black powder abrasion. Overall a fine all original Colt 1860 Army manufactured mid-war 1863.
