Barrel length 28", 16 bore. Offered is fine, early pre-war Lefever Nitro Special, manufactured in Ithaca, New York, in the rather scarce 16 bore. Sports a center rib with single bead sight, blued finish, with case colored frame and checkered walnut stock. Left barrel is choked "full" and right barrel is choked "modified". It has double set trigger with a 13-1/2" LOP to front trigger. Barrels retains 85-90% original factory blue, thinning a bit a breech, with sharp legend, locks up tight, faces perfectly. Adjustment level slightly right (5 o'clock). Checkered walnut stock is excellent with no cracks, black composite butt plate. Frame retains approx 30-40% case colors, some brilliant. Trigger guard retains approx 60% original blue. Lovely, pre-War 16 bore shotgun.
