barrel length 23", .308 caliber. These rifles are newly manufactured in Geneso, IL by Springfield. They are fully legal, semi-automatic as manufactured and are operated via belt feed. Metal is finished in a military style phosphate finish with black composite stocks and ventilated metal hand guard. It has a mounted bipod, two legs. The molded breech cover is wearing through on the left side (1") and on the right side as well. Left frame of frame is stamped "SA-1, Springfield Armory, Geneso Illinois". Rifle appears to be in excellent, original condition with some residue on bipod. It has military style sights, muzzle brake, built in upper carry handle. According to research, relatively few of these were produced, with the estimate being somewhere around 20. This rifle does not have any of the belts.
