Chambered for the .22 LR caliber, has a 6-3/4" barrel. In July of 1959 3,000 High Standard Supermatic Tournament pistols were purchased and marked with a large U.S. on the left receiver. This was part of the 102 series and falls into the serial lot 97300 to 99400. This model was discontinued in 1960. They were procured by the U.S. Government for training purposes and feature a matte finish with brown composite High Standard logo grips with fully adjustable rear sight. Most of these saw heavy use with troop training or the U.S. pistol teams. The grip straps have turned gun metal grey. This pistol retains approximately 70% of the original finish with usual high edge wear on muzzle. Has a fine bore, perfect action. Fairly scarce, low production U.S. target pistol.
