Barrel length is 5", caliber is .45 ACP. This pistol was manufactured as standard military Model 1911 in 1918. The left side of frame is stamped with the ordinance department eagle Type 1 used by Colt in 1918 and 1919. This pistol was rebuilt for use in World War II as evidenced by the ordinance department flaming bomb on right side of frame that is also stamped RIA and FK. The barrel is a WWII replacement as are the Keyes plastic grips and hammer. Gun is basically a gun metal color retaining traces of the parkerized finish. Bottom of magazine is stamped CL. Bore is frosted. Perfect action. The trench knife is stamped U.S. 1918 and bares no other markings. The sheath has been repainted.
