Barrel 24", .30-06 caliber. Barrel is stamped "SA 05 (1905)" with flaming bomb. Offered is typical rebuild of an early 1903 manufactured Springfield. The serial number on the receiver placed the manufacture at 1914. Finish on metal is late WWI, dull blue brown of which 90% remains on barrel and frame, stock has wide finger grooves, with the added two bolts, has milled parts, has the Type 3 rear adjustment knobs, S-style rear sight used from 1906-1921, the finely checkered Type 4 butt plate, straight bolt, Type 6 field replacement hand guard, stocks have been refinished, no visible cartouche but "41" stamped on wrist, has an ME reading of 1 with strong rifling, fine action. High condition as rebuilt.
