Barrel length 24", 5mm caliber. The Model 591 was manufactured between 1970-73 only, with approximately 20,000 made. The 5mm cartridge is even scarcer than the rifle. Features of the rifle include: blued finish with pistol grip, Monte Carlo, walnut stock with black composite butt plate. It is a magazine fed, bolt action. Metal retains approximately 98% of original factory blue, with the only appreciable wear visible on trigger guard. Stock is very good with no cracks but does have the usual impressions. The grip cap is interesting in that it has the appearance of a red and black bowling ball and is stamped in gold "Remington 5mm Magnum". It has a fine action and strong rifled bore. These rifles are getting extremely difficult to locate.
