Barrel length 20", .44-40 caliber. Standard carbine manufactured in 1883 in the popular .44 caliber. Features: 20" full round barrel, full magazine, two barrel bands, post front sight, 1873 dated folding carbine ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud, walnut stocks, carbine butt plate, blued finish. This lovely little carbine is basically a soft brown patina with sharp legends. Walnut stocks are very good, proud to metal. Several decorative brass tacks have been added to forearm and right side of stock. Strong rifle bore with black powder abrasion. Very handsome, all original 3rd model carbine with great western look.
