Manufactured in 1876, dated on receiver. This is a bolt action German military carbine chambered for the 11mm cartridge. Features a 20" barrel, full Mannlicher-style stock, military folding rear sight, sling swivel in stock and barrel band. Has all proper German proofs. No. 8300 stamped on barrel, frame, bolt, receiver nut, safety and all screws. Has Imperial inspection stamps at base. Stock is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, just a couple minor dings and a wood tang plug. Barrel retains a pleasing mix of blue turning patina. Receiver is grey. Strong clean bore. Perfect action. This is a wonderful example of an all matching 1871 Mauser.
