3" octagon barrel in .44 percussion caliber. Top of barrel is stamped "Deringer Philadelphia". Barrel breach features engraving, as does tang, lock, hammer and trigger guard. Walnut stocks are checkered at grip and are in excellent all original condition with no cracks or chips. Metal is basically a brown patina. Has a nickel plated nosecap. Missing ramrod. Bore has strong rifling but shows minor black powder corrosion. Fine working order. Beautiful early deringer pre-Civil War pocket pistol.
