These single shot Remington vest pocket pistols were manufactured from 1865 to 1888 and came in a variety of calibers and frame sizes. We are offering the pair of contrasting pistols. Serial No. 1842 is a 3-1/4" barrel chambered for the .22 rimfire cartridge. It is the No. 1 size saw-handle deringer with walnut scales, single shot, spur trigger with perfect barrel legend. Metal has turned gun metal grey. Left grips panel has a small hairline crack. Fine working order with a very good bore. Serial No. 3996 is the No. 3 size chambered for the .41 rimfire cartridge with a 4" barrel. Metal is a brown patina. Barrel legend is perfect. Grips are excellent. Perfect action. Strong rifling with black powder abrasion. Only 14,000 manufactured in the .41 caliber.
