This Japanese Naval Officer's katana is ceremonial and machine made. The 27" curved blade was never sharpened and is still immaculate from hilt to tip. It does not have the wavy temper line known as the hamon. The handle is in nice condition with a wrapped cord grip, but the rear wooden peg in the handle that locks the handle to the tang of the blade is slightly loose. The pommel has a brown and blue knotted cord. The metal scabbard has a ring on the back side of the blade and is also in nice condition, with only some scratches in the brown paint. Excellent and rare naval officer's sword.

Condition: (Very Good).
