7.92x57mm, barrel length 23.62". This standard Nazi marked German Model 98k carbine was manufactured by Sauer and Sohn in Suhl, Germany. The factory code is stamped on bridge, with 44. Matching numbers on barrel, bolt, safety, firing pin, floor plate. It has the original finish laminate stock with fore-end in excellent condition. All metal parts retain approximately 90% of the original military matte blued finish. There is a Waffenampt stamp at two places on receiver bridge, as well as the left side of barrel. It has a fine bore and action. It comes with an original leather sling. The Model 98k is one of the most recognized weapons of WWII and was the standard firearm of the German armed forces. Original matching examples are getting exceedingly hard to find given the overall production of 11.5 million. Beautiful all original K-98
