Barrel 24", .30-06 caliber. Rifle manufactured from Dec 1942 - March 1943. Bolt is marked "D2828712SA", which is correct for this range. Heat lot is "S11", correct for March 1943. Barrel is dated "12/42", which is the correct range. It is marked "SA" for Springfield Armory. It has the proof "P". Rear sight is the correct Type 3, lock-bar with rounded edges. It has an ME rating of 2. It has the proper butt plate with trap. Op rod is proper un-cut SA Type 3. Left side of stock is stamped "SA E.McF". This is for Inspector Earl McFarlane, June 1942-July 1943. Serial range 700,000-1,800,000. Metal retains approx 95% of the original military phosphate finish, stock is excellent with original finish and has the serif proof "P" at wrist. Beautiful early WWII M-1 Garand with matching receiver, barrel, sights, un-cut op-rod, stock. In superb condition with a WWII era original sling with steel frogs. Un-cut #6 op-rod
