Barrel length 24", .30-06 caliber. Manufactured June 1944 - Sep 1944. Bolt is stamped "D28287-12SA" (June 1944). Heat lot is "S-A1" (June 1944). Barrel is dated May 1944, Springfield Armory (correct). Rear sight is a Type 3, lock-bar, with square ends. Butt plate is proper with trap. It has an ME rating of 0.75. Left side of stock is stamped "SA GAW" for George A Woody, July 1943-Oct 1944, serial range 1,800,000-3,300,000. It has serif 'P" in circle on wrist. 90% of original military finish on metal. Original finish stock is excellent with some minor dents on right side and a couple on the left. A wonderful, mid-war Garand with matching receiver, barrel, bolt, sights, un-cut op-rod, stock and butt plate. Bright shiny bore. No rebuild marks.
