Caliber .30-06. Barrel length 24". This rifle was built at the Rock Island Arsenal in 1911. It was rebuilt using a USMC Sedgley barrel dated 8-41. The matching serial number was electro-pencil etched to match on bolt. The stock is a wide finger groove two bolt with block p in circle, but no visible marks on side. Has Type 3 hand guard. Large Type 3 dished knurled sight adjustment with a small Type 4 sight knob. Has the swept bolt. All milled parts. Strong rifling with ME reading of .5. Stock is excellent with a few minor abrasions. Metal retains a mix of blue and phosphate finish, of which 95% remains. Vintage sling with brass frogs. Very fine Marine Corp rebuilt early World War II. One of the finest known examples. Has a national match buttplate. Shiny bore.
