Barrel length 26". Caliber .30-06. Barrel is stamped R 12-17 with flaming bomb. Walnut stock has eagle head inspector at wrist. End of stock has the Remington R stamp. Left side of frame has flaming bomb. Bolt release has eagle head stamp. Flaming bomb is on bolt, stamped R. Safety has eagle head stamp. Rifle is all original World War I with all Remington stamped parts. This rifle remains in exceptional condition, retaining fully 85-90% of original blue finish. Original finish stock is excellent with a couple of usual dings. ME reading of .5. Far above average 1917 Remington. Nice shiny bore. No rebuild marks.
