5-1/2" barrel in .45 Colt caliber. This was shipped to the Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on October 31st, 1919 in a shipment of 500 guns. Backstrap is stamped "R.C.M.P. 2265", butt is stamped "M.P.". this gun is listed on page 190 in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police book. It is a six shot, blued double action revolver with Colt black gutta percha grips and lanyard loop. The front sight has had a brass insert installed. Gun is in excellent condition. Grips straps are grey patina, trigger guard is thinning, tight muzzle wear, rear top strap is thinning, high edge wear on cylinder, and left side of frame is blue turning patina with approximately 50-60% original Colt high polish blue still visible. Perfect bore and action.
