Pre-war Japanese. Scarce toy marked "Made in Japan". "Pre-war" sticker on bottom of the snake. Interesting mechanism, when wound, snake crawls forward and bar on side wiggles front half of snake back and forth. Toy is separated into 12 sections that are all kept together by a string. Includes original box with beautiful and colorful label of two natives fighting a giant snake.
