7.7mm cal, barrel length 25-7/8", Last three digits of serial number can be found on bolt handle, rifle features the takedown system, the mum is intact on bridge, rear sight has the aircraft wings, it has the two piece butt stock with finger groove fore-end with full hand guard, the monopod was discontinued in early 1943, Type 2 did not have this assembly, mfd Nagoya Arsenal, no dust cover, stock is in excellent condition with no cracks but with minor dings, all metal is a matte finish military blue, all legends are sharp. An extremely fine example of the Type 2 Paratroop rifle. Matching assembly numbers with all original finish on wood and metal. Matching bolt and numbers.
