This special series Winchester Model 1895 was produced in 2009 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Teddy Roosevelt's African Safari. This rifle sports a 24" round barrel, lever action, blued finish, checkered walnut straight grip stock, sporting sights and shotgun butt. The coin nickel finish frame exhibits scroll engraving with gold inlays of African big game animals with a vignette of Teddy Roosevelt and "Big Medicine", which was his nickname for his favorite big bore Winchester lever action rifle. Chambered for the .405 Winchester cartridge, the most powerful cartridge manufactured in this model. Gun has a blued hammer. As new in box with all the paperwork. Stock has a Teddy Roosevelt medallion on the right side.
