.45-90 caliber, barrel length 26". Offered is a standard Winchester Model 1886 that was manufactured in 1891. Features: 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, standard Winchester sporting front and rear sights as well as a tang sight, with walnut stocks and rifle butt plate. Features the blued finish with the color case hardened frame, lever, and hammer. It is chambered for one of the most popular cartridges made in this line, the powerful .45-90 WCF. This rifle has survived in outstanding, all original condition. Barrel retains approximately 90% or better factory original high polish blue with razor sharp edges and legends. Tube retains generous flashes of blue starting to patina. Fore-end cap colors have nickled out as has bottom of lever and frame. Left side of frame retains approximately 30-40% case colors with lots of remaining pattern and no freckling. Right side of frame shows some color but is basically nickeled out. Sides of hammer and lever have some strong color remaining. Butt plate is nickled out. The walnut stocks are proud to metal, having never been touched, with some usual abrasions but no cracks. Fine bore and action. Overall, a strong, clean '86 in .45-90 caliber with lots of condition.
