Circa 1830s. "Die Stande des Weiblichen Gelchlechtes" has two 6.25-inch ladies and twelve costumes including: nun, shepherdess, empress, court lady, beggar, etc. The fabulous box has a centerpiece of three beautiful young women surrounded by ten of the costumed figures that define the status of women of the period. Eight identical headdresses and a wooden stand are also included. Despite age and wear, the historical import, strong, crisp color and excellent condition make this an important set.
