N.E. Brown (American, 19th century). Framed in detailed gold gilt frame, this oil on canvas painting shows an evening landscape, signature in bottom left is "N E brown Piny/1876". The orange sky is reflected in the lake and a solitary man enjoys the view. Painting has craquelure, a few paint chips, and one small rip to the canvas on the clouds. Providence: Raymond E. Holland American Art.
